Titan Pro Tech Tip: Ignition Coil Installation & Flywheel Air Gap Setup
A weak or failing ignition coil leads to hard starting, engine misfires under heavy splitting loads, or complete loss of spark when hot. When fitting this replacement coil, clean any rust or dirt off the flywheel magnet surface. Set the coil legs to the correct air gap distance (approx. 0.3mm to 0.4mm, or standard business card thickness) relative to the flywheel magnet before tightening the mounting bolts. Ensure the high-tension lead spark plug cap snaps firmly onto the spark plug terminal.
